Too Much Fun
Is there such a thing? If so, I am having it. I made some sales today and am ever so happy! And I made 2 new necklaces that came out great. Wanna see? Ok... here....
So, now I have questions. What are you looking for when you go shopping on someone's Etsy or website or blog? What would you like to see more of in my shop? Dragons? Frogs? Turtles? Some other animal? Jewelry? If jewelry, what kind? Covered items? Christmas goodies? I need your input! Please! What price range are you looking for? Besides *free*. :D

The Bruce Shows Bhaltair Around The House
Well, The Bruce got over his pissiness and has decided to be a civilized wee cow. So, he took Bhaltair all over the condo today to see some sights. They had a look at Allie who was having a Insane Kitty Moment so they decided to move along to the wine rack. Then they went to my work table where they admired my lavender jade. Smart wee cows. Then they went back to their home where they laughed and discussed what fun they had. If you want to see more pictures, please visit theweehighlandcows.blogspot.com. The B and B are plotting to get into some trouble, methinks!
New Stuff To Try
From the wonderful Andy and Susan at theclaystore.com, I ordered a variety of translucent clay in the never ending quest for translucent amber and jade. As we speak I am cooking some lavender jade. I keep thinking that one day I will find just the perfect combination and it will come out of my oven transparent! Yep. I think so. It could happen. You know, I got some of that Fimo Effect clay and it says, right there on the label, in 3 languages, "transparent". I believe them.
Would the Fimo company lie to me? I'm shocked! This is the same company that without a backwards glance discontinued the best gloss in the universe. Now, why, you ask? The Fimo company is apparently afraid that some nasty chemical might cause disease. Isn't that nice? 500 gazillion motor vehicles all over the planet spewing God knows what and they are worried about polymer clay. But, never fear, they have replaced the best gloss in the universe with a pale replacement. It makes a nice gloss. Yep, it does. IF. IF you can get it to stick to the clay. Usually it just balls up like you were brushing it onto wet pasta with oil. But, if you are willing to spend some time going over and over and over your creation, eventually it will stick and dry. Really. I have some. I do this.
I am thinking about saving all my money and using it for a trip to Germany where I can go to the Fimo plant and throw a hissy fit. Be fun. Serve them right.

Faux Larimar
So, did anyone ever hear of this stone? I never did. Apparently it comes from the one and only mine in the whole world which is in the Dominican Republic. Who knew? Anyway, this stone is absolutely gorgeous! Shades of white with turquoise and sapphire. It looks like Hawaiian waters. Just beautiful! Anyway, it leant itself to polymer clay really well. I think it's wonderful. What do you think?

Jet Engines
I thought I was done here but it appears that while I was asleep, menehunes came and erected an airport in the street across the valley. Really. I am minding my own business and jet engines are rev-ing up. Now, you might think, well, Moe lives in a city. NO! Moe lives in the suburbs where jet engines or even the whole jet! are not allowed as they might disturb the residents. They don't even allow planes to fly over head. Count my nosehairs, peasants!
After a brief and noisy visit to my lanai I see the cops, the firemen and...HOMELAND SECURITY! aka army helicopters. All leaving from our peaceful valley. One of two things have happened here. Either Osama bin Laden is hiding, not in a cave in Pakistan, but in a valley in Hawaii. OR... they have arrested and removed in shackles, my pal Angie who lives about a block from said disturbance. My vote is Ang. Don't worry, GF! I will bring you cupcakes in prison! :D
Amber, sorta
As you know, I have been trying to make faux amber. I have been a magnificent failure whereupon I named my creations, "Moestones". But, undaunted, I persevered. Fat lot of good THAT did! :( So, I am still in pursuit of the elusive amber. These are the current incarnation of moestones. I guess if someone emailed me and said, "Moe! I have been looking positively everywhere for red spotted dalmation stones! Quick! I will buy them!" I'd be in good shape. Whaddaya think the chances of that happening are? JUST what I think, too. :( So, feast your eyes upon the red spotted moestones. I will wear them and tell people they are a very rare find. Well, stop looking like that! It's true. They are rare. :D
A Big Piggy
My sister Michele ordered three piggy banks. What a girl. So, my friend Ginger (gingerbell'sgifts) sent me some. Due to some glitch in the universal piggy force field none of the piggies are the same size. You know... most people would get pigs that matched. Nope. I got, from two shipments... BOTH form Ginger, three different piggies. Hmmm, maybe GINGER is the cause of the glitch! Makes sense to me. Girl has snorted way too many soap fumes.
Anyway, here is my final piggy for Michele. It's one of the big ones. I like it! Do you?
And, before I forget... I know there must be some way to respond to all you lovely people who are leaving me comments. Sadly, doof that I am, I haven't found out how to do so yet. I am optimistic that one of you will take pity on me and help me out. But, until I do, a big fat MAHALO! to all of you for taking the time to read my blog and send in your comments. You guys are cool!
My Deceptive Kitty
Today I was taking pictures and minding my own business when Ipo, the kitty from Hades, decided to make with the Bambi eyes and get her picture taken. There appears to be some slight jealousy because I spend lots of time with my clay and my wee cows. So, here is Miss Deception. Looking adorable and innocent. I have only one word. HAH!
Why Bhaltair Is Valiant
Well, you have all met Bhaltair The Valiant. His picture is right below. Now that he has recovered from jet lag he'd like you to know why he has a little limp and only one ear. The poor baby! He is a valiant warrior who fought bravely at the Fierce Battle of Fassfern where he fought the infamous Chriss The Terrible. He, at great cost to himself, triumphed and was knighted by his queen. But, he has scars. He has a wee leg wound and lost his right ear in the battle. In his magnanimity, he has forgiven Chriss The Terrible, and has decided that we can all live together! What a Wee Cow!
Bhaltair is a unassuming sort, though. He does not call himself "Sir Bhaltair" even though he is entitled. He will be going on adventures with The Bruce, who has calmed down and now seems amenable to having a friend along. So, both Bhaltair and The Bruce hope you will follow along with them as they go about Hawaii seeking fun and frolicking in the sunshine.

Bhaltair The Valiant Arrives
We have BIG trouble! Giant, humongous, large trouble. The Bruce had to face the fact that he is not the only Wee Cow in the universe. It was most traumatic. Bhaltair The Valiant arrived today. And, we found out that, in gaelic, bh is pronounced as a V. So, his name is... Valtair or... Walter. But, I digress. I am trying to ignore the sibling rivalry and The Bruce's complete and utter ungraciousness. I do believe he will have to have a serious attitude adjustment in the very near future.
The Bruce received a new tam o'shanter and his very own blankie embroidered with his name but even that wasn't enough! He had to face off with Bhaltair and act like a barbarian. Then, after he recovered from his fainting fit, he threw his wee suitcase at Bhaltair and ordered him to leave! Oh NO! What more is to come???
Black and White
Now, usually, I am a colorful girl. LOTS of bright colors. Orange, yellow, pink, purple... I'm happy. For some reason I was, of late, attracted to some exceedingly cool black and white canes from Elaine AKA tooaquarius. Look at her link here! Anyway, I bought these canes and here is what I made. I think they are super! Who would have thought I'd love black and white?

My New Jade Pieces
The Bruce Goes To Dinner
Well, the little pill is at it again. He went to a play where he behaved admirably. Apparently it was too much as, when he got to the restaurant, he immediately started yelling for the waiter. Then he got some chianti but realized he'd never had that before. The Bruce loved it and drank it way too fast! So, Charles, our benevolent waiter, showed The Bruce that he would bring him some more. But... when the bill came...oh NO! The Bruce fainted while Charles was saying...PAY ME! LIfe is tough with The Bruce.

ATC's
Well, the ATC swap on the PCC Forum is over and I got my cards. They were all very nice and really different. But, I thought you might like to see these two as they are SOOO wonderful and my absolute favorites. I guess I like gold and copper, hunh? :D The one with the jewels was made by Linda Weeks, our swap meister and the other was made by Kraphtidez. Aren't they great?
My Sunshine Kitties
We have two adorable kitties. Well, one is adorable and the other is a total brat. Ipo is the brat. Ipo means "sweetheart" in Hawaiian. She is the most mis-named kitty in the universe. Allie, the black and white, is the sweetheart. But, they are SOOOO cute! So, here are some pictures of them out in the common hallway of our condo.

The Bruce Goes To A Birthday PArty
Well, the little lush is at it again! Our friends Hans and Joe had a combination birthday/sushi/moving in party last night. FAR too much fun was had by all. As you can see, The Bruce got a new party hat which I promptly dropped upon which the little ball on top fell of. Sigh.... And this without any wine yet! But, The Bruce got to meet Kojiisan the master sushi chef and he saw his first sushi. The Bruce was not amused at raw fish. He ate the parsley decoration.
Hans asked me to make a cake but Joe wanted carrot cake cupcakes. Like an idiot, I said, sure! I didn't have the heart to tell them I hadn't baked in 40 years. :D So, I toddled off to the vegetarian carrot cake recipes and found a vegan one. Because I had no idea what I was doing and am unable to convert from a cake cake to cupcakes, I just made what it called for. So, Mr. Murphy and his wretched Law came visiting and I wound up with exactly enough batter for 24 cupcakes. JUST the number I was supposed to bring to the party. Swell.
How, you ask, did I tell if the cupcakes were edible? I didn't. I just winged it and hoped everyone had enough to drink so if they tasted like doodoo, nobody would care. As you see, Hans was busy pointing out the orange sprinkles on top. Orange meaning it was carrots. Just in case people couldn't tell by 4 thousand carrots inside. But, the happy ending was, the cupcakes were great! Having learned my lesson over the years, I waited until everyone was done eating before I informed them that they had just eaten and loved vegan cupcakes (weg). It's no wonder The Bruce drank too much wine. He was just dying to yell....hahahahah, that's NOT cream cheese! I wonder if they will invites us again?

The Latest Stuff
Well, I am losing my mind. I cannot find my moestones necklace. I think it has been beamed up. Last night we went to dinner with some friends and I was going to wear it. Could I find it? I could not. This from the anal retentive queen! I am shirking my duties! But, on a more fun note, we took The Bruce to dinner!
We went to some friends' home for pupus and drinks then we all went to a nice Italian restaurant. The Bruce was very well behaved until he got drunk!
You can see all the Bruce's escapades and the other fun wee cows on Chris's website. Please go look. It's all ready to go and 7 cows have been bought and are winging their way to all corners of the earth! Please visit www.theweehighlandcows.co.uk.

Odd Earrings
I was creating away having FAR too much fun when these appeared. Hmmm. I have no idea what to call them. They are sort of pink but not. Why the "not", I don't know. The clay started out kind of pink. So, I impressed two different textures into them then painted in some gold mica powder into the impressions. Maybe I will wear them and see if anyone does anything but roll their eyes and shake their heads. What do you think? I kinda like them!
