Recycled!

I got myself addicted to those wonderful teas that B&N sells.  Harney & Co, methinks.  Best Earl Gray in the universe.  :)  Almost as good as wine!  I did NOT say that!  Anyway, the tea comes in these super aluminum tins which I have now recycled.  I'm just happy as a clam with how this came out.  just how happy do you think clams are, anyway?

And I finally found these super magnets so now I can make pins again without worrying about poking holes in clothes.  And I also got myself addicted to making stroppel canes!  I need help.  :D

Love the heart. Dontcha just love making those canes? Me too! I have some extra Carmex jars from my seniors class. They are going to get Sttoppelized. Did you SAND,
RESIN OR VARATHANE THE HEART?

Thanks, Trina. I just made another one. ;D And made some fun earrings for me from it. I'll have to take photos tomorrow.

I sanded and dremeled the heart. It has no coating of any kind on it. It did come out nice and shiny, didn't it?

Wow, you are on a roll! Thanks for sharing. The shine on the polished heart is amazing.

Thanks, Peej! Sanding and my handy Dremel are the reason for the shine.

The tin came out very pretty. Love the stained glass look of the heart. And the natural shine. ;) Sanding & buffing is sooo addictive.

I love the happy tin. I think a clam would be happy, too. Lovely heart, too. A pin made of a magnet that doesn't poke holes sounds awesome? Never heard of it before. How does it work?

Thanks, Trina! I love the depth, too. I think it's that old rose cane. It made a wonderful *ribbon*, didn't it? xoxo

Thanks, Anita from me and my clams. :)

The magnets are from Goody Beads. They are small but strong earth magnets. i do NOT know what *earth magnet* means, tho. Anyway, you countersink one into the clay and use a second one inside your clothes. They just snap towards each other and hold the fabric firmly but with no damage. When you are ready to remove it, either take your shirt off or reach inside and just slide the inner magnet off and hold the pin so it doesn't fall on the floor. Lots easier to remove with the top off, tho. Love your inner magnet. :D xoxoxo
