A Fun Vase

Hiya!  Well, I bought Christi Friesen's new book called Polymer Clay and Mixed Media.  I love it. It's a great book and has tons of stuff to make.  Naturally, I have a ton of beads to make lots of "bead soup" so I decided this green vase needed a necklace.  And I just happened to have some cool silk ribbon from www.brassbouquet.com.  I was all set to go!  Clay, beads and ribbon!  What more could a girl want?

Oh yeah... other stuff.  Well, I went rummaging through my Other Stuff cupboard.  HAH!  What do I find?  Besides cat hair?  I find a bunch of cool things from an old kukui nut lei that B got once.  It had kukui nuts (nah, really?) shells and some seed thingies I think are from the ohia tree. So, I made clay flowers, then glued on the seed *doilies*, then,  the shells.  Now I am addicted to making vase necklaces. :)   And isn't my little gecko cute?  :D

Oh yeah... don't be alarmed at the gruesome carpeting and slip covers.  The slip covers are to protect our stuff from the depredations of 2 rambunctious cats and the carpet will soon be in the dumpster!  Yay!

What a beautiful vase! I love that you chose green for the flowers.

Your bead sets are wonderful, I am salivating over this Serendipity set you made;

Thanks, Kathi! I'm glad you like it. You KNOW I am getting ready to ask you to put my new banner on the forum, right? :D I tried. Maybe you can tell me and I can do it myself? Jeez... I can hear you laughing. :(

THanks for coming to my blog! Miss FM, I just checked out your Etsy... cool stuff! Also, if you love all kinds of beads, I am getting ready to post a huge collection. I just have to go take pictures. :D

I agree with missfickle that the green is a nice choice for flowers. Looks almost like a passion flower, though the picture is too small to tell for sure. And yes, your gecko is cute!

Hi Cindy and thanks for visiting again! Can't you click on the picture to make it bigger? I wonder if the pictures look different on different computers? On mine, it is pretty big and I can click to make it bigger. If I knew more about computers, I could give you smart and sage advice. :) Hah! xoxo
