My Niece's Bracelet

Well, I decided to make my niece a bracelet.  :)  Probably you oughta know here that it took me two years to get through 10th grade geometry.  That means, I can't add and things that involve numbers hate me.  Truly.  So, it seems that Col's wrist and her old aunty's are just about the same.  So, I happily stitch along and get this fun and funky bracelet done and...it's too short.  It fits me, barely.  Now I have to put a toggle on it.  I am bummed.  I measured.  I did!  :(  Waaaahhhhhh.  I'm waiting for Col to tell me it's ok to put a toggle on it.  She wanted it flat but it doesn't appear that flat is in her future.

Beady kids...chime in here and tell me what I'm doing wrong!  Pammie, I KNOW you're reading this!  So, do tell me how long should I measure if I want a wide cuff to be about 7 1/2 inches?  And you sent me a bracelet measurer, too.  I'm a dunce.  It's ALL my geometry teacher's fault, no doubt.  ;D

It just beautiful, what I do with a bracelet that has a middle, you know what I mean, I always make it from the centre out and never finish the edge till I know it fits right, that way you can add if you need to, hope this helps

Thanks Gina! I actually did that but somehow miscalculated. I *thought* it was going to be just fine. But I put a toggle and a loop on and now it's dandy. I think what I forgot to take into account is that the wider the cuff, the bigger it has to be. lesson learned. Thanks for your input! :D

Back in the past days (significance: 10 years ago) printservers would commonly have their own collection of information that
would be appended to every printjob, basically boosting
the complication of the job. That was occasionally adequate to make a gadget run out of memory.
I have no idea if it still makes much of a difference nowadays.
