One day there was a sale on a company going out of business. I bought some stuff and, when I received my order, the owner had enclosed tons of free gifts! Yay for free gifts. One of the things was a bag full of giant emerald green fresh water pearls. I simply could not decide what could be done with these. So, the other day I got inspired and this is what I made. :)
And, in another serendipitous moment, I was making some...let's see what this turns out to be... clay blends. As I was running it through the pasta machine I saw the colors were just gorgeous. So, I stopped and took it out and made flat ovals to bead weave. If I may say so myself, this is one of the prettiest things I have ever made. Least...*I* think it is. :D I love how the pendant especially looks like an underwater reef. What do you think??

Very nice!
Wow, Moe. I see lots of green here lately. Very nice!
Sharon B.
You are right, Miss Moe, the flat ovals are really fabulous!!! You did them justice with your bead weaving, too. :)
xoxo, Jax
I really like what you did with the pearls! And your beading is so beautiful and precise!! I can see the coral reef :)))
Thanks, Cat. :D
You're right, Sharon. i don't know what;s with the green. I seem to go in color units ;)
Mahalo, Jax! I just love the colors in this set. And the way it just shimmers well, it looks like underwater to me. :D
Yay! Thanks, Mary! I was worried I'd have to have these pearls buried with me as I could not even give them away. :D But they look cool with the wire wrapping, methinks. :D
I love your wire work around those pearls, lovely!! You're right Moe, the colors in your flat ovals are gorgeous and your bead work around them is the perfect added touch! Beautiful!
Mahalo, Trina! I'm really happy with the end product. And they are really lightweight, too. I was afraid they'd be heavy but...they isn't. :D
I also love the pendant and it DOES look like an underwater reef. Such a gorgeous blend of colors and amazingly even and beautiful beadwork to compliment it! I like what you did with the green pearls, too. Very creative use of them and a chance to show off your outstanding manual dexterity with wire.
Thanks, Anita. :) I just love this set. :D
I love them! expecially the first pair of earrings.. :)
