A Wedding Present and Other Assorted Stuff

And so, my friend comes to me and says, she needs a wedding present.  Ok.  WHAT are you thinking of, I inquire?  Oooohhh, I don't know, what do you have?  Oiks.  :(   Nothing.  You can't give jewelry or a dragon as a wedding present.  Well, *I* can give a dragon but I don't think my friend would.  She's kinda of into St. George murdering dragons or some grim thing.  The horror of it all. :D

So, after a few days of "discussing" read... me making suggestions and she yea-ing or nay-ing them, we decided a picture frame decorated with flowers would be good.

So, she brings me a frame and silly me, I ask, so... what color flowers?  She's got no idea.  Just "pretty".  Oiks.  I wanted pretty for the bride but something not so "girly girl" to appeal to the groom.  Ok, here is my "pretty" frame.  What do you think?

Then I decided to rephotograph some old stuff and take pictures of new stuff. I love this Kilauea bracelet.  ( for those of you who may not know, Kilauea is our resident volcano who just had it's 10,000 day anniversary of spewing for that long.... non stop).  This is the first picture I was able to get that really shows it off.  Thanks Pammie, for the great crystals!

And the tiles came out well, methinks.  My friend Melissa in Alaska sent me the cane.  WTG, Mel!  Don'tcha just love it??  :D

And I really love this orange and turquoise piece.
Ok, that's all for now.  I am going to go list some stuff in my Etsy store and on my FaceBook Storefront.

As it happens, I am finding out that many people don't know that FB offers storefronts.  You just have to go to the person's page (in this case ME  :) and click on shopping or something equivalent.  Go shopping?  Something that triggers "spend your money".  :)  Anyway, for those of you who like to shop, please do visit my store and for those of you who like to sell....check it out.  It's totally free.  Totally.  Not one red cent.  Or any other color cent, for that matter.  Kind of like Blogspot.  Don't you just LOVE FREE?  :D  Me do!

You are welcome, GF. How wonderful that you made a bracelet to celebrate the Volcano. Pele would be proud!

I did? Must have had too much wine that day, I don't remember that cane at all! Still, good for me, I guess! And you - pretty bracelet. :-)

Well, Mel, I guess I had the wrong clay friend. :( I knew it was either you or MK. If it wasn't you, then it was MK. But...it's a wonderful cane! Or WAS a wonderful cane. ;D

Pretty-- I've never thought of pairing turquoise with orange, but the colors do complement each other :-)

Thanks, Plays! I really like those colors together as long as they are the right hues. Otherwise...gack! :D
